About ORUPA:

Orissa Rural and Urban Producers' Association (ORUPA) is a state level registered apex body of artisans working in Orissa (India) since last 16 years with a basic objective to ensure socio-economic development of craft and craft persons. This organization mobilizes resources and initiates developmental programmes for the artisan groups. The efforts include Marketing, Design Development and Product Diversification and Capacity Building of the artisan groups. The federation intends to bring the rural and urban artisan groups towards economic empowerment through the process of craft and craftsmanship. It has got the membership of International Fair Trade Association (IFAT) and Fair Trade Forum of India (FTF).
